Injury prone

08:26

After 4 days of weight training again, it would appear that my forearm is sore again. It's the same problem as last week too. When I go to train my arms, my left forearm starts to hurt like hell and almost buckles under the weights, so I have to stop before I do myself any more damage.

My past activities included a lot of aggressive skating, the kind where you grind on rails and end up falling a lot on your wrists and that's exactly what I did. A few years ago, I dislocated and hairline fractured one of my wrists, whilst spraining my other, both at the same time. I even managed to get it on video.

Problem is that nowadays, I'm having my injuries come back to haunt me, leaving me with weak wrists. I'm not sure if the pain is in part due to my wrists, or whether I have done something to one of the muscles in my forearm. Only thing I can really do is go to the doctors and get them to check it out.

The pain feels almost like my elbow is going to dislocate or bend the wrong way almost. If I put my hands out in front of me with my palms facing up, the pain is on the right hand side of my forearm, or if my googling serves me well, my "flexor carpi ulnaris muscle".

I just really hope that, I've not done something that's going to stop me training for a while, or even worse, permanently.
