Hi folks,

Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Peter, I am 25 years old and I have started this blog in order to track my progress in my goal of getting into shape.

A bit of background about me before I begin though. I have always had an active lifestyle. My teenage years were spent being part of football teams, swimming clubs and Skating. I wasn't chubby and I wasn't muscular. I was what is referred to as skinny-fat.


A physique, while not overweight (and possibly underweight), lacks any visible lean, striated tissue.

My metabolism catered for any excess calories I ate, or I burned them off almost immediately. 
It wasn't until I hit my early 20's that I began to gain weight. In 2011, I made the decision to return to full-time education, enrolling in a Computing for Internet and Multimedia course, which pretty much meant sitting at a desk all day. This was when my weight started to creep up and before I knew it I was 13 stone and having to buy new clothes.

I never really did anything about it, until Christmas 2011, when a family member joked that I could play the Santa at next years family gathering. I knew there and then that I had to do something about it. 

January 1st 2012

Starting January 1st 2012, I set off on my fitness journey of getting myself into shape and in the process almost becoming hooked on the pain and the pump that I get when I'm in a gym pushing my muscles and body to the limit.

My aim in this blog is to help others as well as myself in the process. I will post recipes, meals, exercise routines, video blogs, motivational advice, supplement reviews and anything else that I can think of that will ultimately benefit everyone reading this blog.

I thank you for taking the time to read this and hope that you continue to as we go from fat to fit.
